I chose this video because I feel that I can relate to what Thomas is saying. From time to time, I get the feeling that my "work burner" is cranked all the way up. It is never severe, but I find myself working all afternoon and into the evening a little as well just to meet a deadline. This usually occurs due to a lack of planning beforehand. Whenever these moments hit, I never really get the chance to do the things I actually enjoy, such as playing video games and talking with friends. The tips in this video were actually quite helpful, so I will try to implement some of them.

I chose this video because I wanted to see if I could learn about more ways to improve my focus. I feel that doing so would make me a more productive worker. Usually, I stay focused on a task, but sometimes I feel the urge to check my phone for any new texts or emails. I also jump into my work without a certain plan in mind besides "getting it done". These, to me, show that I could make my working conditions at home much more ideal. Some of Thomas' tips - such as prioritizing certain tasks and keeping my phone out of my reach - would be worth trying out.

I chose this video because I feel that I am in an environment that would easily allow me to get distracted by the internet. The computer that I use has both Steam (for games) and Discord (for talking with friends), so the potential for distraction is great. While it does not happen often, sometimes I do migrate to these applications when I am supposed to be working. These distractions are on top of things such as my phone and people talking in the background. What I try to do is remove Steam and Discord from the Dock at the bottom of the screen, adopting an "out of sight, out of mind" mentality. Since doing work online is becoming more popular nowadays, I think that it is important to limit internet-based distractions.
