When I got to Portugal I went straight to Porto. When I got there I went to one of the famous ports and I saw something no one had ever told me before... there were people using compass and astrolabes which looked very much developed, at least, much more than the ones we have in Brazil.
I noticed that the caravels were very different from the ones I had seen in Rio de Janeiro... they looked more sophisticated, lighter and much easier to control

After visiting Portugal I decided to come straight to Spain because I have never heard or seen many details from here, I decided to take a look myself!! I was breathless when I bumped into Christopher Columbus in the elevator on my way to breakfast, he told me he had 15 minutes to talk while he had breakfast and I obviously accepted the invite! He told me he was going to the government in the centre of Barcelona because he wanted to convince the Spanish to support his plan where he wanted to reach Asia by sailing to the West!! The next year I decided to look him up on google and I saw he had successfully convinced the Spanish but he ended up reaching the Americas, I called him up and he was here in Switzerland... he came over and I called my friends over to meet him, the great explorer friend explained to my friends all he has been thought and everything that happened

When I arrived on my next flight I was surprised with the very hot weather there was in China. As I had already studied in my S.S class the temperature can be very high or very cold, I was very happy the weather was pleasant when I got there I wanted to inform myself what type of ruling there was because the airport is the cleanest and most organised I had ever seen, people told me China was under the Ming Dynasty, people also told me this dynasty brought them peace and were not going to let anyone take that away.
Later on when I had already been back home for a very long time I remembered my trip to China and searched for news, I found out the Manchus founded the Qing Dynasty, it soon started to weaken and they lost power. I was so sad knowing this, because I saw the happiness in the eyes of the nation in China with the Ming dynasty...

I used to live in Switzerland, a country very close to France, now I have come here for vacation : ) So now I am here trying to find out what is happening because the internet does not help me to get a vast understanding. I found out explorers establish new France and get more control over all than Britain! Later on they tell me Jacques Cartier reached the gulf off the east coast of Canada which led him to a broad river, that's when they conquered a part of Canada as French territory... He named the river St. Lawrence he then followed it until he reached a big island dominated by a mountain, he decided to name it Mont Real (Mount. Royal) and later became Montreal!!

After going to China I decided to check Japan because I have always been interested in their culture and way of life. I was so surprised by their feudal pyramid and how their is someone in the same level as the emperor, OMG, this person is called the Shogun, he was actually the one who took on most part of the work, in this feudal system the emperor was just there in order not to destroy their tradition... I learnt many things but what most shocked me was their cultural dances and traditional entertainment such as the following:
- Kabuki theater--> they would dress up and do their makeup in order to get very strong expression on their faces, all of this to perform a drama piece which included dancing and acting!
- Haiku: small poems where there is no rhyme and consists of 3 lines with 5 syllables + the middle line with 7 syllables.

Since I am already here in Europe, I decided to take a cheap flight to once again, get a vaster understanding of how the New England at that time emerged. New England was actually created by the puritans and pilgrims, who were groups of people who went to England for religious freedom. They were both settling in Massachusetts and made a colony called Plymouth.
