Sensory Nature Journey

Today we looked at the name for our sensory walk around CARE, and questioned if the word 'trail' was appropriate - based on the definition of the word meaning an planned out journey with a definite start and finish point. The group felt that our visitors would be able to start wherever they wished, walk around in any order they liked and finish where they wanted to. So, the name has been changed to Sensory Nature Journey.

All of the early H & S and risk assessments carried out by each of the teams has contributed to our final checks, with a new emergency assembly point in place by the car parking area in front of the allotments, badges for all care learners and staff, signing in sheets and all learners with organised tasks and responsibilities. Just need the sun to shine now!

Will be a great first test for this amazing device - such a big leap forwards in technology and money management, keeping things really simple and enabling everyone to get involved. The Sum Up device is straight forwards and readily available. It now has its own business bank account which will keep everything clear and separate from any other income streams to CARE. Well done again to all who helped research this device and the Zettle. Will be a great piece of technology to use going forwards at all future community events.
