We would drive to my Grandma's house in Naples, FL. It was a 16 hour drive, we would stop at Shoney's in Mobile, AL to eat dinner.
We would sleep in the car while our parents drove and boom sometime the next morning we would get to my Grandma's house. My parents would sleep all day and my sister and I would go swimming if it was warm enough. We would always drive to the beach and take walks with our dad to Gordon Pass. We also would always walk on the Pier and eat Conch Fritters and Clam Chowder at the Dock Restaurant.  One year we cooked the meal at my Grandma and Aunt Sue's houses and then took the food to the beach to eat.  It was really windy but lots of fun.
