They did the say thing as usual. But one day they wanted to see Mr. Radley more often so they tried to put a note in one of the widow shutters on Mr. Radley’s  house but they are stopped by Atticus. Then they went to Miss Rachel’s fish pool to hang out, but they talk about going back to Mr. Radley’s house during the night. They peer into his window and go to his front porch to leave but they see Mr. Radley and he fires a shot. Jem’s pants get stuck but they run back home.
