         <description><![CDATA[<div>what makes me proud to be Singaporean is not the pledge, but other things. maybe the anthem, but not the pledge because it's very rigid and formal and going through the motions. it's not a pleasant experience so you won't feel proud to say the pledge. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>minor changes to the crest (design to fit digital formats) is necessary. the crest was made at a time were it was only printed on hard copies. now the animals on the crest look comical and words of "Majulah Singapura" are barely visible. for the pledge, i do agree with including all  predominant languages  in the pledge, but that might throw off new citizens. fist over heart is a way to feel the heartbeat while reciting it. it can be to edit the "regardless of race, language or religion" as there are many more differences that are known to us, compared to early days of independence.</div>]]></description>
