In 1987 Thomas Sankara was murdered and Blaise covered up the assassination. Also, during this massacre, another coup occurred that took Sankara's friend Compaoré to power at that time. Fourteen people were charged for Sankara's killing in the trial which had started in October. Eight other people were found guilty of giving false testimonies, etc. Sankara's widow Mariam Sankara said, "Justice has been served. The judges have done their jobs and I am satisfied. Of course, I wished the main suspects would be here before the judges". Compaoré went on to rule for 27 years before a coup took him out of power in 2014. Investigations were reponed shortly after and Compaoré is found guilty but he lives in Ivory Coast and has become a citizen there. People have said they could be reunited with family back in Ukraine, even though it wouldn't be easy. Ukrainian men cannot leave the country in case they need to stay and fight. There are lots of refugees who are worn out from being separated from family. The Ukrainian Border Guard Service said on Sunday, more than 22,000 Ukrainians crossed back into Ukraine compared to the 33,000 that left. There have been other countries as well that have reported thousands of people entering Ukraine. According to these prosecutors, Ebisawa purchased US made missiles, with the intent to use them to protect a drug shipment, and then distribute them to rebel groups in Myanmar. The drugs themselves were intended to be distributed in new york, and included drugs such as heroin and meth. Russia carried out 2 missile strikes on a railway station in Kramatorsk. This area was home to many evacuated citizens. Russia has committed many war crimes including using cluster bombs that put thousands in danger. Russia denied the attack on the railway, and said that the missiles fired were missiles only used by the Ukrainian armed forces. Many people were awaiting further evacuation when the missiles hit. A Palestinian gunman attacked a pub killing 3 people and injuring 15 more. After the attack, a shootout took place between the gunman and the police. At around 6:00 AM the shootout had ended with the death of the gunman, identified to be Raed Hazem. Among the deaths of the victims was coach Barak Lufen, who was a part of Israel's national kayak team. Classified as a terrorist attack, the train was hit by two explosives before it was fired upon. This has been the second train attack in the past six months, and the amount of kidnappings for ransom have become an increasing problem over the past few years. As a result, many Nigerians are outraged about the declining security. The gunmen have yet to be identified. The rail line has since closed for an unknown amount of time, which is having further effects on the citizens of Nigeria.
