A few late but excited to be here! I'm a secondary teacher from Idaho.

I like the idea of blogging for assignments.

I'm excited about personalized learning! It sounds great! I'm wondering how it might work in a school with almost NO technology?

Does this work for students who might not be high achieving?

I really wish all of my students had tablets! I could do so much with them...being limited to paper and pen is frustrating at times.

So many great ideas and perspectives!

Funding for access to technology would be so great for my school!

I, too, believe that valuable, authentic learning needs to happen for really prepare students for whatever path they take in life.

Students need to be able to understand how to find information, determine what is/is not a reliable source, learn skills for communicating, share ideas, be open to other ideas and diverse thinking. Some students want easy, because fear of failing, need to learn how to deal, reflect, grow for future success

I use Blogging in my Spanish courses, helps with skills for language, but also have them read a blog of interest to them, just to build literacy skills, know what is available, see value in blogging and other tech uses

I think that blogging is a great way to get language acquisition and continue the literacy outside of the classroom. Also having them blog gives them ownership as well.

Definitely gives ownership, very important, trying to get my students to make more decisions in how they show what they know, explore new resources, learn new things in addition to Spanish, some tech skills. School is so different now. INDEX cards! Me too!
