session 1 (4/1/2021):

- after discussing the meaning of site-specific and site-generic work, I thought about the theme of the piece that I would create.
- I realised the importance of physically incorporating the site within my piece and how the identity of the piece should ultimately showcase the body and the site in an equal weight
-after watching 3 pieces I noticed the difference between viewing a piece in person and viewing it from a camera > the camera allows the director or the videographer to showcase specific things to the audience that would be hard to do in real life (maybe through vocal work or directions are incorporated within the movement)

                            session 2 (5/1/2021):
-working in groups to imagine how a specific location given by Rosemary Lee to be used in producing a site-specific piece> I noticed that I thrive under a team environment where ideas can be exchanged and challenged.
-the imagery proposed by my group allowed me to understand how from a plain site I have to understand the space currently, the architecture and physical environment of the site, and the historical and political context of the site
-to fully immerse in the imagination we even created a whole festival in which the piece will be presented as the opening> this formed the groundwork in which the piece can be as imaginative as we want yet still be justifiable and can be contextualised

                                                                                 session 4 (12/1/2021):
Group task piece: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Kllg-hQwDtaZDwvt0mBxw3i4TyMwJKCT/view?usp=sharing

                                                                                 session 5(18/1/2021):
-in this session, we looked at each groups piece
-we also looked into a structured form of feedback. 1.I saw/notice. 2.i thought about..., it made me think....3.I have this question
-we noticed the common trend of the interchanging aspects of the kitchen and the toilet (ie eating in the toilet or using the kitchen sink as a toilet)> we commented on the harsh contrast in activities in each environment though there are similarities between the structures of the 2 locations (ie. presence of a sink)
-from viewing the piece I realised there are several choreographic elements that I personally really appreciate within the piece> Suspension(stillness), a constant variable, continuous narrative and detachment of said narrative.

Through additional research and discussion with Rosemary Lee the piece was able to provide a greater narrative and commentary on my position as a dancer within England
