Good way to elicit interest by asking students what kinds of data can be captured using bar graphs. Could perhaps consider stretching the students' thinking by asking what kinds of data may not be as well represented by bar graphs?

Good approach to get students to indicate index no on stickers given and tr got student to guess the rationale. Perhaps some discussion about how to represent (if need) the stickers that don't fall into the categories mentioned. Also possible to have the different groups paper pasted around the classroom so that the sticking activity can take place concurrently instead of group by group. May also need to reinforce the rule that each student must only vote once for each group as some students put one sticker in each category.
