Ainda que já tenham passado 800 anos desde a última vez que o vulcão entrou em erupção, as imagens de satélite de segunda-feira mostram um movimento crescente do solo e os especialistas suspeitam que a atividade sismológica se deve “a correntes de magma que se movem sob o solo” e que “podem estar a dirigir-se ao vulcão”. Os tremores alcançaram a marca de 6,9 de magnitude, mas não houve danos ou feridos. Ainda na manhã deste sábado o país optou por suspender o alerta para as grandes ondas.</div><div>O terremoto, inicialmente estimado em 7,2 de magnitude, ocorreu às 18h09min nas águas do Pacífico ao largo da região de Miyagi, com profundidade de 60 quilômetros, informou a JMA, que emitiu um alerta para ondas de cerca de um metro.</div><div>Milhares de famílias receberam avisos de evacuação por causa do alerta de tsunami, que foi emitido às 19h30min</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
