He is mysterious. He is building something in his house and he is hiding it. He gets a lot of mail and he is subscribed to a lot of magasins. He also has an ex wife so it's a mystery what happened beetween the both of them. The narator is overthing the situation. In the apartment next door lived a man, a hunched, buck toothed, grinning and menacing man. No one un the neighbourhood knew his name or where he came from, he just always seemed to have lived on the block. I had recently moved here during the summer and didn’t detect anything out of the ordinary, but in fall, things started to get worrying. I would often see flas(es of light from his window, I heard reports of people losing electricity during the night and not getting it back til morning. On lady said she heard loud hoarse screams coming from his windows, but I hadn’t heard anything of the sort. There were also mechanical sounds. Gears locking up, drills soins and a slow sort of hammering.

One night, I was coming back from a party and I wasn’t all that lucid, but  while I was walking up the stairs to my apartment I could’ve sworn I saw one rage eye looking out his window and then disappearing.

And then nothing, for a whole month. No disturbances or weird sounds, no complaints. But one morning I was woken up by booming footsteps. It was like an elephant had walked up to my entrance. I got out of bed and heard a doorbell ring. When I finally got to the doorway to open it, I was baffled. Before me stood a monolithic, grotesque, humanoid figure. Wide eyed and grinning, it had an abnormally side jaw. And beside this creature was that man, my neighbour.

The neighbour is creepy because he keeps stalk others. He keeps receiving mails. He never left his house.  Actually the neighbour isn’t building anything, his neighbours are too creepy that they keep thinking that he’s been building something in his basement so basically everyone is creepy except the old man.
