         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ever since HDB was built,in order to provide all residents regardless of rich or poor or language or religion,the HDB goals is to ensure that everybody have enough money to afford a house,it is also trying to inspire one another to give Singaporeans a better life,creating a vibrant city to keep the town clean and promote building of active communties.It also plans to reduce the population of housing shortage to ensure people could buy a house with little money such as giving subsidies.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>To create a suitable environment for the citizens in each and every household,HDB has implemented many features such as the Solarnova project where solar panels are installed.This is environmental friendly as it make use of Sun to generate electricity instead of burning fossil fuels.Singapore had also created Eco Town which hopes to save more electricity,water and waste management. HDB also comes out with a new plan,the HDB greenprint which implement environmental friendly ideas that may lessen global warming.HDB also added the use of installing of centralised chutes to encourage many people to recylcle.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The people are forced to live in slums and squatter settlements and even force to live with many people,due to overcrowding.As the demand to build houses are high due to high populations,this results in housing shortage as there are less resources and manpower to build as many house as expected.There also have to survived with less food and less water.The material to build a house was makeshift material like scrap wood which is not durable and might topple of and is made of flammable material,increasing risk of fire.There is also no proper waste disposal system,and no proper toilets.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As Singapore face a serious problem of housing shortage,PAP decided to take actions and improvised as many low cost housing unit as possible so many people could afford it and housing shortge could be greatly reduced.Till 1965,a total of 51000 housing units were built and by 1969,147000 housing unit were built and in 1980,a plan to promote racial integration was introduced and housing of different income must mixed together.In 1990,lift were introduced and studio apartment was introduced.It is advantageous as elderly could afford and is suitable for them.<br>Up till now,Singapore HDB  continues to improve,allowing people to enjoy and lead a great life.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Fourth Generation - First Intensification of land use <br>(1982 - 1990)<br>Layout was emphasised heavily in this generation as layaout plans were morw rigid and orthogonal.A new "cell" concept was also intoduced which involved the lessening of space between buildings to increase development intensity.By the end of the generation,Singapore had adopted a system of classifying high-rise buildings based on location and urban design principles.The first group consistn of a unique design for buildings in good locality and amazing view.The second group consist of ounstanding designs for buildings beside the streets or places with a lot of people.</div>]]></description>
