How ever, they were far from the first people on the land, Mexico was home to many such as the Mayans, Aztecs and other Native people. The Spanish Colonization was far from taken well by the native people. The Spanish came to Mexico with hopes of not only colonizing but also bringing Christ to the Native people. The Natives did not like this, and led many revolutions against this. Mexicans often celebrate quinceanera, a girls turning into a woman on their 15th birthday, where as Americans tend to put important on a sweet 16 birthday. Mexicans celebrate Mexican independence day September 16th and El Grito the day before signifying their independence from Spain, where as Americans celebrated their independence from Europe on July 4th. Mexicans celebrate Dia de Los Muertos where they celebrate their dead loved ones by putting out alters and offerings, where as Americans have a similar holiday of Halloween, where they dress up to not be seen as themselves amongst spirits who walk along side them that day.
