The first time I remember watching and trying to understand the rules was in third or fourth grade. I would ask my dad questions after every play and as time went on I learned more and more. Each year I become a bigger fan, I would now call myself a die hard fan. I have watched every single game since I was 16 and I would not miss one for the world. Growing up it was my everything, it was my way of life and an uncontrollable passion. There was nothing that made me happier or more content than being on a soccer field. I played all throughout high school and even in college. As life does, it hit me square in the face and took my passion, soccer, away from me. In the summer of 2022, my first week playing college soccer I suffered a heat stroke while playing and because of this I was no longer allowed to play competitive soccer. Now a year later, I can say it was a blessing in disguise. Although it turned my life completely upside down, I created new passions and stopped living my life just for soccer and my athletic abilities. Soccer is still a huge part of my life, it is no longer my reason for succeeding in life. Not only with football but with soccer, my mom and dad have done so much for me to play all throughout my life. They have paid for all the expenses, taken me to every game and practice, and supported me through thick and thin. They have been right by my side through all the up and downs and have helped me grow into the person I am today. They love me for who I am and love my passions just as much. As I go into teaching, my mom has been my number one, guiding me through it all.
