America is not a perfect democracy. This is because of low voter turnout in elections, we might be thrown into an election with candidates we may not like, elections are expensive, and political opinions cause discourse. Our version of democracy is in difficult position and far from perfect.

I do not believe that America is a perfect democracy. I think this because there are many things that make our democracy flawed. Such as low voter turnout which can vary the elections results. Also, there is not much competition in lower levels of the government, and new candidates stand almost no chance of winning. In addition money plays a large role in who is and who is not elected into office. Overall there are many flaws that make the United States government far from perfect.

No, I do not think America is the perfect democracy. Like every other country, our country has flaws. Low voter turnout causes elections to not be as efficient, and elected officials may not actually be the winner if more citizens participated during election years. Also, American people will always have disagreements with one another, and not everyone will be pleased as to what government decides to enforce. America is not perfect, in fact, perfect is nearly impossible to reach.

America is not nor will it every be the perfect democracy simply because at no time will every person be equal. This is due to the fact that some people are economically, politically, and socially not equal to their neighbors. In addition to this our government is flawed in a multitude of ways when it comes to elections and candidacies. Finally, our government does not allow outside parties or participants to win elections or hold high office positions in government. America will never be the perfect democracy.

I do not believe that our democracy is a perfect democracy. How our government is set up, and the electoral system, it is possible for the least voted for candidate can win the presidency. Which then would be putting the candidate that most of America didn't want to win into office. Also we need more candidates to pick from. If we had more candidates to choose from then we would have a better chance at getting a candidate that truly deserves the right to be president. And as Miley Cyrus once said "Nobody's Perfect."

Personally I believe that the U.S. government's democracy is pretty far from perfect. The reasons i believe this would be because it does not give a chance to minor parties so why would they bother to try to run for an office. It costs way to much to even try to run for president so you have to be well known in order to make enough money in the first place to try and run. It gives an unfair advantage to incumbents because people believe that because they have been in office once that they did a good enough job to be chosen again. Another reason i believe that our democracy is far from perfect would be because many citizens do not vote because they do not like the candidates so we end up with people who might not actually represent the country as well as it should because it does not follow other peoples beliefs of what should be in the political system itself.

I do not think America is the perfect democracy, because it takes a long time for anything to get done in our government and also they do not always do what the people want. Other factors like they said in the book are low voter turnout, and the cost of running for election.

No, America is not the perfect democracy. The reason for this is there will be a point in which a tough decision will have to be made. This will require us to make a important decision and if we are unable respond we may have to face the consequences of our inability. This may be caused by a weak leader who is not able to get a point across on a important topic leaving the county divided and prolonging the processes.

I do not think that American has or is the perfect democracy. Nothing is perfect. One of the biggest reasons is the cost to run for an office. There are flaws in the election system as well. Incumbents may have advantages. There are only two candidates to pick from when we chose our next president so not all of their views will be agreed with. Because of this there is a low voter turnout most of the time. Another problem is the media. Certain sources are bias toward certain candidates.

America is by no means a perfect democracy. Our voting system is designed to limit the power of the people by not having a direct election. Furthermore, elections are not as effective as they could be due to the extremely low voter turnout. Those running for reelection are also favored by the system. Furthermore, those with the deepest pockets and most fund-raising abilities are the ones that are most likely to succeed. America's democracy is in no way anywhere near perfect. perfection is impossible

America is not the perfect democracy, as many examples support this. 1) Only about 60% of citizens vote. 2) We lack a choice of candidates, due to our two-party system. 3) Elections cost large sums of money, which can be unfair to either party because one party could receive more funds. 4) Because only one candidate can be nominated, competition is scarce. 5) The media is biased toward certain parties, according to their standards. In conclusion, America is far from the perfect democracy, even though many people believe other countries are envious of our democracy.
