• Visit the other group ONCE: a member from one team can visit the other team's building area for 30 seconds, but NONE speak.

• Have a chat in a neutral zone: Two people, one from each team, can talk for a maximum of 60 seconds in a designated neutral zone.

• ONE written message delivered by the facilitators: We, the facilitators, will deliver a written message from one team to the other. Each group can send 1 written message and write the answer to the received message.

Step 1

• What were your expectations before coming to Italy?

I didn’t expect much, just to know people, meet a lot of people, have fun, learn more about the topics in my projet and also learn the italien as much as i can.

• How did you feel right before leaving?

Stress and sad, because i left everyone behind me and i was going alone so that was scary, but also exacted about this years

• Why did you choose to join the ESC?

Because it was long time projet, it was in italy, and the projet is in social manager photographer and manage event and that all i like in life. Also because of the language i want it to learn a know one.

• What were your first thoughts when you arrived?

That is was not how i thing i will be, like trento is not the dolce vita, it was bad wheater everyday etc, but i change fast

• What was the first real challenge you faced? How did you deal with it?

The distance between work and place to sleep, that is the most annoying thing ever and doesn’t make sense to me.

To have a roomate during 9 month was also a challenge but i did survive.

There is not ways to deal with those stuff but now i accept them and i am okey with them is not a problem anymore so everythink good.

Step 2

• How did you adapt to life in Italy? /

Super easily because is not the much different as Spain or belgium.

• What surprised you the most about being here?

I think is the ways that people treat you and sometimes you feel so welcome that just make me want tu stay more and more. The differente drink and foot is similar but at the same time different. And also The difference between the routine.

• What did you think about Italians at the beginning, and what do you think now?

That they are not nice because everytime i try to speak italien they respond in english, but now i am use to so i just continue to try the italian and sometime and answer in italian so they are nice. In my work place they are super welcoming, attentive, and so smilly all the time and checking on you is just feel like home sometime.

• What have you learned from local people?

That the hugo come from trento. Ans some cultural funny story.

• What kind of activities have you done in your project?

I take care of the social media ( post and story ), also telegram, i do photography in event, i organise event, i inved activities for erarmus people, i also prepare so trip for volonteer group, and manager some group in whatshap

• Was there a moment when you felt useful or proud?

When they say that they like my activity or photo, or news ideas for instagram

• Was there a time when you felt frustrated or disconnected?

During the wole month of may, i was having a bad period

• In your opinion, how have you made a difference in your organization or community?

With my talent as a photographer or with my 3 languages or my idea for the instagram.

• What have you learned about yourself since the beginning of this journey?

Maybe that i am capable of doing stuff that i am not use to. Also i learn how to be patience when the situation that is not right etc…

• What personal challenges have you faced?

To talk about the problem in the work or in italian classes

To be far away from friend and family that long was more hard that i exped

The languages barriers sometime is also frustrating

• In what ways do you feel different compared to when you arrived?

I am strong in talking in english

In the ways that i feel more confidence and capable of doing stuff that i am not use to.

That i can express myself in so different way

I feel that now i will be ready to live alone and figure out everything by myself etc

• What kind of skills have you developed (personal, social, practical)?

Social media

Social skill, live with other etc

Manager my own life like routine shopping etc

Figure my own problem and salve them

The openess skill, be open to other culture or ways of thinking, be open to include stuff in your live that you never think you will.

• How have your relationships with others changed over time (volunteers, locals, team)?

I the begining i was most of the time alone and not make friend, and after idk 2 week i start to be open to people and making friends

At the beginning i was shy and doesn’t really want to know people and when i feel better in the country i start to be open with other.

So for exemple at the beginning i didn’t really make connection with the people in my appartement but at some point with one of the girls we become more and more close and now she like my older sister for, and i will never though of that at the beggining.

• Who had the biggest positive impact on you?

Bogna, she help me to become more mature independent and tu trust myself more when i need it, she my confident so she now me better than no one and that is incroyable because she help me to become a better version of me.

There is also fransceca from mi association she speak spannish and french so it was easily to talk to her everytime i need, she was like a mon helping with every also give me a lot of advice and also apreciate my work in the office, she is really this sunny person that you know you will feel so good with her

• Have you experienced misunderstandings or conflicts? How did you handle them?

In the appartement and by talking about it.

In the work place and so the same i talk about it to my tutor.

The bad think was that my tutor left the place of work so during 2 week i was having no one and after they find me a new one, she not really avalable person so is hard to have meeting with her.

How: try even though you will fail, so you will realise it is not that bad

Resources: kind environment, people who agree failing is not bad

How: Find contact on the internet, or send requests to local opportunities

What is needed: Persitence, Patience, luck and maybe certain skills needed for the job

How: Ask about extending the project or if you can work with your organization

Try to keep contact

Yourself and trusted people (friend, mentor, therapist).

• How?

Start small conversations, voice notes, or texts; don't have to be isolated since overthinking starts when you are alone and too much time to think.

• What is needed (resources)?

Braveness, Books, journal, meditation or calm musics, to-do list to always be doing something, list of all people to reach out to.

• When?

Immediately when overthinking is noticable, during alone moments

• Anything else?

Any additional activity is helpful to overthinking less.

How: comunicate how you feel, make sure to suround yourself with good people
