This song is about expressing comedy and boredom of a 12 and 13 year old. This is a very abstract song with noises that might be unfamiliar too you. We made it so that things like our melody and some of our arpeggiated chords would contrast with each other. While our audio loops and the arpeggiated chords represented our boredom. The live audio we created represented our comedy. I think that this is the beginning of a new comedic group of musicians.

I included some drum beats with some mezzo piano melodies to go with my song. I also edited some bell synths that I found in the loops. Some parts that I found difficult while working on this project was really just picking the right piece of beat and making sure that it fit perfectly into the section. Some solutions that I found to help my workflow were just already having an idea of what I wanted and what rhythm type would really help my song sound good. The part I most enjoyed during the making of this whole project was making my own music and getting to pick my own beats. I learned some of the new tricks by myself. For example I learned how to create my own drum beats by choosing from the option which I thought was pretty cool and there were other options on making my own melody from a digital piano. Yes, I want to create more beats and just do instrumentals with no live audio unless I collaborate with someone. My song isn’t necessarily about anything but I really like it because it kind of expresses who I am.

Originally I was going to make a parody,however for some reason that was hard for me to do.Instead I based the song off of something that interests me.The song is based off of the SCP Foundation.The SCP Foundation is a fictional organization,people write stories about these creature called SCPs on the website,SCPs can either be good or bad.The one I wrote the song about is called SCP-060.This scp is bad and is type keter,which means world ending in the fictional world.The only way to stop it is to extinguish its fire that surrounds it or else with my fire cause it becomes more powerful.SCP-060 is the singer in this song and he's going after a guy,the two people at the ending are people from the Chaos Insurgency.This is an enemy organization whose primary goal is not only to cause chaos but to obtain information from the SCP Foundation.SCP-060 is the last one to talk in the song.

The part of the project that I most enjoyed was the song.It didn’t come out the way it sounded in my head,i'm not a singer,but it was still fun.The reason I enjoyed this part was because I wrote a story.SCP-060 escapes its containment area.It breaks cameras and other equipment useful to people who would need to find him.While they are busy tracking him down he goes after someone whos alone walking in a lonely area.The person is frightened and they run,the audio didn’t come out as well but that might have been pretty good since they are both running.Scp-060 is going after him while singing and the guy is running making some parts inaudible.There's only beats in what would be a chase scene,for this part I copy and paste the audio I used to create a different type of beat with the original beat.To make it sound more intense I did some audio editing and made it sound deeper,I did this for the majority of the song.Some other sound I included to make a better song/story were from soundtrap.I used the crashing of a car where the guy and scp-060 were trapped in,I used an explosion,and fire noises all because they fit well together and made the song more interesting.I also used heavy breathing to represent the guy,who survived the crash,he’s panicked and tired from running,as well as just waking up after being attacked.The live audio I included towards the end is dialogue meant to just add to the story being told in the song.Over all my favorite parts were towards the end of the song and the making of the song.

In my song, I went with a dubstep feel, so I used some basic dubstep loops for certain parts but used a Dubstep Growler for the lead. I originally came up with a quick choppy melody, which started out soft and led into the bridge. I then used that melody as a primary aspect of the song, as I copy and pasted it into the Dubstep Growler to get a different feel, but still the same rhythm. Then, I spliced in some random noises I made and added some “YEET”s at the end - it was finally a song! I had some hurdles in Soundtrap, as it was new software, and I was not used to it. However, I eventually figured the bits and bobs out and continued writing my very epic song. I really enjoyed being able to sit back and listen to my song, knowing that my hard work paid off. I did learn a bit from the Stapp Attack tutorials, and I think they will help me in the long run. I feel like I want to create more Electronic songs. They are fun to do, and speak to me the most. I recently made an Astronomia remix, and I thought it was my best song yet. As for my Dubstep song, I am not sure what it is about. I guess it has no real meaning, it’s just a fire beat.

I made my melody honoring my favorite YouTuber, Pewdiepie and also honoring the word “epic” which is a word that I can’t stop using. To make something that is worth honoring to him, I decided to take the risk and incorporate the music of the organ which I’ve only heard of in church. It was a bit of a challenge as I had to formulate a melody using two very distinct things. The other challenge I had while making this song is trying to make the autotune actually sound good and like a weird robot. I decided to export a file from YouTube with Pewdiepie’s voice and paste it into my melody to make it cooler. In the end, I can’t say that I am unsatisfied with my melody because it’s pretty cool to see all things different sounds combined to make a beautiful melody. I took advantage of all I knew and I made what I considered a disaster at first.

The part that I sang “I’m a duck, I’m a duck, I’m a duck, We’re all ducks quack quack quack quack quack quack PERIODT” came from the song that me and my friends made up during lunch time. I chose to sing this line because I couldn’t see my friends due to the covid-19, which restricted me to be able to see my friends. I kind of struggled on what to use for my lyrics at first, but I resolved that problem by thinking about what I missed most during this time. I thought that the duck song’s melody would correspond well with the beat of my song.

The sounds I picked sounded like I had heard them in other songs before. I was drawn to them because they sounded so familiar. Working in soundation was hard at times because one time the sound did not work and it deleted a bunch of my work I had already done. The part I enjoyed the most was the final piece. Being able to listen to how it sounds and how all the parts go together. I learned a lot from this unit. I learned how to use soundation and a bunch of cool tricks to help me get better. I wouldn't say this is a beginning for wanting to do more projects like this because I would prefer to go back to normal music class and be able to play music. I don't think my song is about anything necessarily but maybe how I want out of quarantine and want to go back to normal school.

Some sounds I included were an airplane PA sound, an airplane PA announcement, and an airplane flying. I included these sounds because it felt really cool as the plane flew by and the music started. I also liked when the audio went from mezzo piano to forte, it sounded really cool. The part of the project that I most enjoyed is using the microphone because it was really funny when my birds were chirping and I felt like it made the intro funny. I also audio edited my microphone by making it sound like an alien, making it a higher octave and auto-tuned it. It was a little difficult when I had a song without any vocals so I added 5 tracks with some cool vocals and I think that made my song better. I think that I might proceed and start making some songs because I really enjoyed this project. I feel that I did pretty good with my song. I shared my song with my family and they really liked it.

For my soundtrap assignments I included these sounds: a bass, piano, kick and snare,club kicks, club claps 2, synth- Brass patrol 1, and another piano. This song is about NYC and what type of city I live in. In my song I include a verse, chorus , bridge. I had to copy and paste most of the time. Did you hear that strange sound as I was getting the chorus, it was NYC but backwards. In the beginning I edited my voice so it would sound deeper and darker. In some parts I put live audio. Also I had to submit it by doing export then pressing mp3 then sending it on email.The challenge I faced was finding the right beats/ sounds to go with my idea, but at the end of the day I found what I needed. I just had to keep looking for the right one.

I mixed all different kinds of sounds. Most of them had beats in it. I like my music to be fun and cool so I used many different sounds which goes with my music. Most music relies on beats. While making my music I thought the beats sounded very nice, so I used it. There were some vocal sounds which made my music more interesting. I found audio editing kind of hard because first I don’t like my voice, so when I tried to change it into a different voice transform I didn’t find the one I wanted to use. However for one part of my music I used a baby sound from the voice transform. Also something I found hard was to add audio recording. I don’t get where I'm supposed to add my voice in my music and what lyrics to put. But I really enjoyed listening to different sounds and making my own music. It was fun to add different sounds together and also I liked where we can edit the dynamics of our sounds. Some parts of my music was from piano to mezzo forte. I had different sections in my music all together. The melody changed and passed from one sound to another. I copied and pasted some of the sounds I already used before and added to the measure I want that sound to be. I had a great time making this project. It was really cool and fun to listen to many sounds and make our own music.
The song I made is to listen and have fun while listening to it. I really spend a lot of time making the one song I want. While making it I tried my best and put lots of effort in it. I really love the final result and I am proud of myself. First when I was about to start this project I didn’t know what kind of song or sounds to put/make but while playing around with the music I found so many sounds to use and I had a great time using it. My song was made solely to uplift people, during this tough time, it's hard to find happiness, my song is doing just that. From the beginning, you feel a sense of happiness and joy, the scheme is made to uplift people. Welcome to my podcast! Today’s episode I talked about the different types of music my sister and I are listing to for example Indie music and soft rock. Some bands include The Foreigners, Lower town, The Beatles, etc. In this specific episode, I include a music clip of the chorus of The Foreigners- I want to know what love is. I also talk about how music helps us relax during quarantine and zone out. I used audio editing in some parts for example I used the fade out the option to make it sound better. In some parts, I copy and paste. You will also hear an interview with my sister. She gives her opinion on how music has helped her throughout this quarantine. During this interview, I had to use automation because my sister spoke low.

Some sounds that I included were a guitar loop, some upbeat drums, some chords, and a track of an old commercial from the ‘60s/’70s. I was originally drawn to the guitar sound because I wanted to create a lofi song like the ones I listen to when doing homework. Then, I followed the form of most songs and added chords and drums. Finally, I added some sound effects that made the song sound better and altered some parts of the song. Overall, Soundtrap was relatively easy to use, but I still needed to look up some things on YouTube. One thing I searched up was how to splice sounds. I learned that I can only cut sounds using a mouse because my touchpad doesn’t work. The part of the process of making the song that I enjoyed most is when I started experimenting with sound effects because I liked scrolling through Soundtrap and testing sound effects out on my song. I would like to make more songs like this in the future, and maybe experiment with different genres of music.

I really enjoy drums and percussion, so I included these aspects in my song. I tried to formulate a beat so I tried to include different guitar tracks, a bass track and vocalize the beat in my live audio part so it could sound multidimensional. I enjoy listening to what I put together, but it was hard for me to use all the tools in Soundation. I did learn how to copy and paste sections and splice and include fade ins and fade outs. If I do more projects I’d like to have more step by step instructions and understand how to choose the loops so they sound more cohesive.

In this podcast I talk about the role of music in people’s lives during the new “norm” in our daily lives. For this particular episode, I interviewed two people about how and why music is relevant in their lives during the quarantine. Both of my guests emphasized that music helps connect them to the life they used to live and gives them hope. The music I used consists of instrumental tracks which mix softer music to match the guest’s responses and more upbeat music that connects to my own personality. Sounds and the last music track were imported from freesound.org. I also used automation to control the volume on the various tracks. Finally, completing an audio track was challenging, but after many tries we were able to record one that worked.

In my music piece I have included many loops, some audio editing, and live audio. In this music piece there a few types of dynamics. I included my own voice saying how I was doing the project last Sunday and why. I felt like finding what sounds make the most sense to paste and distribute them in my music. I mostly used piano and pop noises in my song in order for my work to sound logical and not all over the place and also to be mezzo piano and not to be too aggressive . I really enjoyed looking through all the different combinations of music and just making the music that I want. It was both frustrating and fun to try to make the music sound right or at least do what I think is right. I used Mr. Stapp’s instructions in the slides and tutorials to fix up my song. I especially used Binary form, it is heavily present in the form of my song. It is probably the beginning of more projects I would do, just for fun when I am bored, all to the fun experience I had while making this song.

During the process of making the song on soundtrap I mostly enjoyed the fact that I could make my song as diverse as I wanted. Particularly I liked the sound Synth -Final boss 1 which is in the beginning because it reminded me of the sound of an ambulance yet in a different tone.The use of different sounds also drew me to incorporate sounds similar to trap ,reggaeton, and other genres and artists thatI love. My song is morally about just listening and enjoying the beats while also referencing the fact that you can enjoy different song genres mixed into one, and just to enjoy every moment of life cause you never know when it's all gonna end so live in the moment.

In this project I really played around with the huge variety of sounds I could choose from. I really enjoyed the funky sounds that I started my song with because it really went hand in hand with the other sounds that I included. The tricks I liked using was the fade-in and fade-out feature. It really brought the sound all together when I wanted to transition from one instruments into another. Making this music was very interesting because your can hear the form in the piece ABCA and listening to the different sections contrast but fit together. Audio editing and may have been a little difficult but I was able to manage and navigate though it.

At first, I did the project by just using audio loops to make the song I wanted, because at the time I didn’t know that we also needed to include live audio. The loops I really liked were the ones of acoustic guitars because I thought that they sounded really soft and soothing, which was a nice sound. So originally I just used loops of acoustic guitars as well as some piano and drums to make the song. I decided to use a form with a verse, chorus, and bridge so that it would be more similar to real songs, but I altered that form a little bit by starting with the “chorus” part and only playing the “verse” part once. After I found out that I needed to use live audio in the song, I decided to use my guitar to mimic what the guitar was doing in some of the loops I used and play it myself instead. So, all of the guitar strumming is actually me playing it instead of the loop. This was also when I decided to make a bridge section, because up to this point my song was in ternary form. For the bridge section I also played my guitar, and since I wasn’t really used to playing the type of stuff that I did in the song it was pretty fun to learn how to do a new thing and practice and get better at it. One challenge that arose here was that the drum loop I was using didn’t fit in with the bridge section, so I tried to use the drums on soundtrap to create my own thing, but I found it pretty difficult to use. Instead, I decided to record myself hitting the side of my guitar with my hand, because I wanted something more simple than the complicated beats in most of the loops for this section. A feature on soundtrap that I didn’t know of before that I really liked was the fade in/fade feature, because it can make the music do somewhat of a crescendo or a decrescendo, which I thought sounded really nice, so I used it a couple of times at the end. I also thought the copy and paste feature was really useful because I didn’t want to have to find and drag out the same loops over and over again since my song repeats a lot. All in all, I thought that this project was really fun and I think it would be great to do more things in soundtrap and get more creative with it.

In this podcast I talk about me and my parents’ experience with music and some of our favorite bands, songs, and more! This episode consists of me interviewing my dad about the bands he liked when he was my age and what concerts he went to and enjoyed back then. He talks about the time he saw Kiss at age 12, and I play a section of their song “Detroit Rock City,” which he establishes as his favorite. He mentions his favorite components of the concert, such as the explosions and the band’s complex makeup. After that, we talk about him seeing Queen live, and his favorite aspects of that concert.

-Throughout this project, I really enjoyed making music. I have never done anything like this before and to experience it hands on was actually fun. Something I enjoyed in this project was being able to add live audio to the track. It was really cool and in my opinion, I thought it made it more funny. Especially since in my track I used my voice in a funny way by audio editing it to reverb in my loop. Something I found easy in this project was copying and pasting the different sections I created. Also something I found easy was exporting my soundtrap to an mp3 soundtrack to then send to the music teacher. Something I found hard about this project was audio. At first, the audio wouldn’t work. I was having a hard time. But the next day, it seemed to work and I got the hang of it. The form I used in my soundtrap was this; ABABC. The sounds I included in it were more…...funny and weird, I guess. Maybe that’s what drew me into the vibe of it! But after this experience, I look forward to potentially making more projects like this and maybe experiment more with the audio. I definitely wanna focus more on sounds and melodies outside of my comfort zone just to get a little taste of different music.

I made this piece of music that has a lot of meaning you would not really pick up on unless I told you. The form is what helps with the meaning of the music. The placement for the song acquires the listener's attention. It is based on doing a task that you think is easy but turns out to be hard. To help illustrate, think of an action fight. It is easy to get hits but the enemies hits get harder and more persistent. You try your best and soon take that enemy down. I invested a lot of time making it, but didn’t realize I put meaning into the song. It is something I will be proud about myself for. It was fun trying to figure out how to assess the music I Should use to make my own piece. It may even encourage me to create something new in the future, even if it is difficult.

The sounds I used were ones that really drew me in. I started with finding the baseline. Once I had assessed how well that worked, I moved on to see what kind of beat I could make. I really liked it when I put the base, snare, and kick together. I can guarantee that anyone who listened to it will like it. When I was making my own beat I couldn't really figure out what was what. I ended up trying them all out and I chose which ones I liked. The form I used was AABAA. When I formulated the music I was also paying attention to the criteria of it. This is definitely the beginning to many more projects.

The part of the project I enjoyed the most was trying different beats and mixing it up to create a melody. I struggled the most recording my voice to follow the rhythm. I learned how to change the sound of my voice by using different EQ vocal settings on the microphone. What drew me to the sounds is that I wanted to make like a wacky, random but good Melody. The parts that were hard when working on soundtrap were trying to see which sounds cna sound good together to make the melody sound better. I don’t want normal boring loops I want loops that make people feel something inside of them. I had to make sure the track always goes through editing before I gave it in. What I enjoyed about this project is making the track itself because it was fun to do especially since most of the sound I saw was instrumental. I think I learned one thing by myself because in the beginning I was just trying to see how it worked and then I learned something but I forgot what it was. I would like to make more projects like this because this was really fun and I think everyone else would agree.

The part of working in Sound Trap that was difficult was finding the best loops. The solutions that I found to help and resolve the song flow was fixing the volume which is piano, mezzo piano, mezzo forte, and forte. Another solution I found was to fade in and out of the loops. In my soundtrap assignment called “No sleep on the piano” included vocals,beats and patterns. The beat and the vocals went good and drew me to the sound. The most difficult part was trying to get back my first beat I made. I liked that one best but my Mom couldn’t find it after she submitted it. I ended up just making a new beat. A part of the project that was my favorite was listening to all the beats and putting them into my song. I really liked the sounds with the voices. The only part of soundtrap that is difficult is to get the guitar or piano to sound good. I enjoyed the whole project because I just love making music and it is very fun for me. I didn’t use tutorials to help me because I like figuring things out on my own. It’s fun when you can explore a website that you don’t know everything about. I think this is definitely a beginning to more projects I want to create because I really enjoy it. One aspect of soundtrap that I really like is that it has pre-made music that you can use if you don’t want to make your own. I also love that soundtrap is not too complex, it’s easy to work with. I tried to use a lot of Synth sounds and beats that I made that have a very good primary beat in the song. I also have an intro that is a synth and Astrology pad which is part of its own form and repeats a couple times in the song which is a very dynamic part of the song and melody. I tried to use a lot of electric music mashed with a lot of organic original piano. I also made a custom beat with the beatmaker option on soundtrap and that goes throughout the sound. With all of these groups of sounds I made them repeat with each other throughout the whole song and that added some form. I really like electric loops like synths and an electric keyboard and add that with some original piano it really sounds like a good track.

I involve sounds like the flute, the bass(a lot), marimba,beat, and my mic. I dragged the music clips that were premade because it's hard to play instruments at home and online so I decided to add premade clips I also decided to loop my music so it can and will sound better.

I felt what was difficult trying to get quiet so I could record my mic because almost everyone was talking and I finally got a good clip. I loved listening to live audio with my (best) dad. We added new melodies to make it sound like it does now. We liked the instrumental beat because my voice would storm over the music.

I learned the trick of exporting to mp3 and finally finding how to generate the music file, I really took advantage with the good music and the song is in iTunes ready to be payed. Honestly mabey, yes, i’d probably play around with this application like before , I love to make more music. I need to emphasise music is medicine has the capacity to lift your spirit.

My song illustrates what it feels like to be in quarantine. It starts upbeat as I am feeling positive about the situation. Then I become alarmed by what is happening because it is taking so long and I ask, when will it be over? The music is less upbeat which means I am starting to have a theory that it will never be over. We never get back to upbeat music because the problem is still not resolved although I am hopeful it will end soon. When making the song I really relied on the melody of music to help tell my story.

Sounds I included were sounds that were incorporated well with each other, my method was to make sure it sounded good and was together, a solution that helped my work flow was to watch tutorials on soundtrap for beginners to help me make a melody and a good form. I included the beanie beats into my soundtrap because of the popping beats and tried to maintain the phase and section of the tracks. I had difficulty with editing, especially cutting and paste. However, I was able to review the tutorial in lesson 4 to resolve the issue.

I mostly enjoy putting the beats together and recording my voice. I learn to navigate the program with the help of the tutorials provided.

I would love to play more with this program and be more creative. For example, adding more tracks with different beats and including a song by Bruno Mars.

While working on my podcast I was able to find out about automation and how I don’t always need to use fade.I did audio editing so that the talking is still hearable and also so it blended in with each other.I hope you enjoy the podcast!

In this podcast I talk about the app that has taken over the world by storm. It’s the one and only TIK TOK. For this particular episode I talk about how Tik Tok exploded during quarantine. You see, tik tok is an app that lets you post remixes, dance to songs, and make some covers. Piano covers, audio covers, music, remakes, and even podcast parodies. When I say music remakes, I mean the possibility of changing specific parts of the music. Like melody, dynamics,, and the sound of the music (it can be bass boosted) forte and piano. The tik tok policy specifies that you can dance to some music but as long as you don't show any racist gestures or acts that are/ can lead to a hate crime. Tik Tok is obviously trying to prevent that from happening.Pretty much ,nor racism allowed PERIOD. The music that I made was a remake of Play Date by Melanie Martinez. This song is used quite frequently on Tik Tok which is why I added it.

My song reflects my method of approaching things in life. The cuts in the song’s chorus made the song sound different. Another strange thing about the music is how the chorus sounds more like a verse to me. This attributes to how the song sounds strange. However, I also think it sounds really good. This fits my method of approaching things, I’ll do anything that works, the song is strange but it works.

I included vocals, beats, synth, and so on and so forth. My personality drew me to those sounds. Finding the right sounds was hard, but once I tried, it started to become easier when it came to finding my workflow. I mostly enjoyed making my own music because it helps me express my true self. I learned new tricks in the program with tutorials because watching tutorials always comes first. Yes because it’s my first hit record and someday I’ll write more chart-topping hits if I got the chance. My song’s is about how great summer is and how much everyone loves the hottest season of the year because it’s loads of fun.

In this podcast I asked Melanie, (the guest) questions in order to contrast how music class has changed from then and now because of COVID-19. In this episode, I asked Melanie to play the music she was used to playing in school. She played her violin which involved having the actual physical instrument; which she had. Then I cut into a break and played some music I made using loops. After the break I emphasized my point about music class being different by generating another question. In the end of the podcast I also add the music I made from the project before this one. Over all you will hear the interview with Melanie about how music class has been affected because of this pandemic.

In contrast to me my mom doesn't like rap.You will also hear an interview with my dad and he will give his own favorite type of music. Some really good beats from rap have come from a piano.

Listening to rap makes me calm whenever i feel angry or sad. Two of my favorite rappers are Juice WRLD and Travis Scott. They are really good artists. Rap is a really good way to express yourself. Sometimes i try to make my own beats
