         <description><![CDATA[<div>This center can have as many participants as needed. The bins allow students to grab their supplies and go back to their seats, or the students can move the bins to a central location, such as the middle of a table. <br><br></div><div>The students will use the graphic organizer provided by the teacher to brainstorm ideas for their draft. Their writing is to be about what they would include on their perfect planet. The focus of their draft is to write paragraphs with one main idea, so their graphic organizer will be a web. The web will have their main idea in the middle (“My Perfect Planet”). Then, the web will have three supporting details that will be the ideas behind their paragraphs.       <br><br></div><div>The students will move on to their draft after they have finished their web for prewriting. The students will grab their draft paper out of the bin. The draft paper will have room for a picture and writing. They may take as many piece of draft paper that they need.  The bin containing the draft paper will have a laminated reminder for students that will read: “Remember to organize your writing with paragraphs. You need an introduction, three  supporting paragraphs, and an ending paragraph. Use your prewriting to help you write.” This reminder will stay on the bin for every student to look at and read before they write their draft. </div><div><br></div>]]></description>

Students must have knowledge of the elements of reading that they will have already discussed. <br><br></div><div>The teacher will ask them to go to sit on their table. She will put one envelope on every table. The envelope contains cards, such as title, genre, <em>A moon Of my own, </em>setting,...etc.  each group should be able to match the cards. <br><br>When the students finish work on the activity, the teacher will ask the students on the red and blue tables to go with her to see what the yellow group did.
