Classroom Screen (classroomscreen.com) has some great new updates. You will want to scroll down to the bottom of the home screen and sign up for the Basic (with account) option to access some of the best features!
1. Dice widget - great for practicing math facts.
2. Customize the widget bar (must have an account; Personalize under the hamburger menu).
3. Easily resize the widgets (drag arrow in bottom right).
4. Save up to 3 name lists for the Random Name Picker (must have account; in Personalize under the hamburger menu). Open the widget and click the gear to see your lists.

For those with children, this has kept us quite busy today. If you type an animals name into Google (on an iPhone and Samsung) then press View in 3D'. It brings up your camera and then 30 seconds later you have a tiger in your house! You can take a photo of the kids with them and they can walk
around it.

Eric Curts does it again with a great video on two options for whiteboards in Google Meet - canvas.apps.chrome & the Chrome Jamboard - jamboard.google.com - I tried the Canvas app and it allows you to even upload an image and draw on it. The Jamboard has other options including making it interactive.

I made a few pages in a new document in good notes and used screen recording to teach the concept with a few examples and the posted that video directly into the lesson on seesaw for my kiddos. The QR Code Extension
When we're back to face to face instruction this Chrome Extension will get used all the time: Create and display onscreen a QR code for whatever URL you are visiting at the time you use the Extension. If you're working from a projected screen...anyone in the room can quickly scan your code. I also use the Snipping Tool to capture an image of it to put in documents when I need to.

Just showing off a project our art teacher put together to replace her in-person spring art show. We decided to keep it simple in Google Slides and did the "Publish to the Web" option to save her time and make it quick and easy to share as a link. I got word that https://app.genial.ly/ is offering the free upgrade at the moment. But even the free stuff is decent. along with the Bitmoji Scenes that everyone is loving, I saw where people were using them for desktop backgrounds to organize and also as the background for Google. I use themes and such for my different accounts, but my district doesn't allow themes. So I knew it b/c it was boring white 🤣🤣 Never noticed the little icon in the bottom right corner to edit the background!

Virtual Couch
I was using edpuzzle during this pandemic and students were wanting to talk about specific places in the video. My son made a website that can show a video (just put in the url) and all watchers can control the video and chat in the chatbox on the side. You create a couch and then you give out the code and all other join a couch with that code. It's great for tutoring and he said I could share it.
