The small door in Coraline's house is to a tunnel that leads her to 'the other world'. The tunnel represents the change of the setting to the supernatural world. For Coraline, the supernatural world consists of magic, her 'other' family, and what seems like happiness.

The color scheme in Alice in Wonderland seems to be made up of bright and more 'childish' colors. However, it does seem to change throughout the movie based on the situation that Alice is in. For example, when in the supernatural world, the color scheme seems to appear darker, as to when she is in 'natural world', the color scheme is brighter.

The other mothers can signify the difference between the real world and the super natural world. Her hair can show her and how she is and how she is unique.

Personal Connection to Coraline: Kathryn Peterson

My personal connection would be when i was growing up and it relates to coraline by not getting your way learning from that to understand and learning to be good and don't get so hard on yourself when you don;t get something the first time . What i see from coraline's experience would be wanting to go out and garden even when its raining when her father says no and it shows coraline wanting to do something her father says no to and she says its water anyway and goes to her room .Sometimes everyone cant get their way but learning to listen to your parents is the way to go. what else i could see would be talking about the tooth fairy with your parents and think the tooth fairy is real and then figuring out its fake when coraline tries to open the door and cant so it shows fantasy and can show kids using their imagination especially when i used it when i was younger . What else is a connection would coraline being scared and showing how little kids get scared even when they re younger or older from a movie or just something in life . Even though kids can have fantasy they can grow up and remember their fantasy but then they know the truth and use that truth in the future .
