With no local media (ie newspaper, radio) relying on social media is challenging - a significant # of area residents have no access to reliable internet, and among those who have access their ability is limited by many factors: fear of 'breaking' their hardware/software; fears of being tracked; poor time management in general...
Gap: failure to define 'community.' Without a shared vision communities flounder or flock to the loudest voices.
Gap: no clear leadership development track. While on the job training is effective, people should have opportunity to learn and grow into roles they feel comfortable with.

However we aren't able to hire staff that solely speak Spanish or other languages than English, as we have to be able to communicate with them and have them be able to communicate with families and children without using a device. We also don't have enough bilingual staff to be in every classroom that has Spanish speaking children.
