1. When doing field hours in our previous classes, I saw Think-Pair-Share used all the time in Math class. It was a great way for the students to help each other and the students negotiated the answer and why they thought they were right.
2. My cousins and I used to play yard football every Thanksgiving. We always made up a new set of rules as we would play. As we got older, we made a touch instead of tackle rule.

1. In middle school, we had a science journal in science class. We would do an experiment once a week, then afterwards, we would write about our experiments, like what the items looked like before, during, and after the experiment. Then we would learn about the reaction that took place.
2. As a Cub Scout leader, we had someone come and talk to the boys electricity and ways that it causes fire or electrical shock. It was really neat to see the boys ask so many questions about how electricity was made and how it causes fires, and the man had a great model of a house and the way that electricity runs from outside the house, to throughout the house.

1. I have been using a home design application on my computer to edit a blueprint of a house to fit my needs and wants. This is goal directed because i know what I want, and my goal is to make that happen on the blueprint.
2. My mom currently works at Kellogg's as the label planner for Pringles, and she has had to teach another guy how to use their data software system so that he can take over and she can learn her new Cracker Planning job, because they run off of two different softwares.

1. I loved the project in the previous class with Dr. Cornelius where we cut different shapes out of magazines. It was authentic, fun, and related to our curriculum.
2. When taking a Spanish class in high school, we took a field trip to lunch after we have had Spanish for 3 quarters of the year. We had learned a lot, so our teachers took us to a Mexican Restaurant. We had to try our best to order in Spanish, and the waiters thought it was funny when we would mess up, of course they knew we were students learning Spanish.

1. I have always liked group projects in my classes as long as everyone is doing their part. Otherwise, it wouldn't be fair for the whole group to get the grade.
2. A group of us Girl Scout leaders have to collaborate on what one big event/activity we are going to host for our girls every summer.
