I am a Human Development graduate from Pacific Oaks College. I am an aunt to six wonderful children and a great-aunt to eight children. I entered Pacific Oaks with a desire to help children in underserved communities. After volunteering at a local elementary school here in Pasadena I became motivated to further my education and gained the skill sets to further enhance and assist in the lives of young children.Pacific Oaks College has provided me with a comprehensive learning experience with its unique praxis, discussion dialogues, and perspective on social advocacy. The unorthodox environment at Pacific Oaks has allowed me to thrive and perfect my talents. I have danced around in many different professions including telecommunications, legal secretary and realtor. Though some of these careers afforded me with a wonderful life I still felt as though something was lacking. Pacific Oaks has helped me to find my search deep within and find my true passion and put me on the path to my destiny. I’m not quite sure what area I will end up in but I my desire is to work with young children in some capacity.I look forward to listening, learning and being challenged by my professor and peers.
