What are the purposes of the Professor Green documentary?

In my opinion, the purpose of the documentary was to inform people that if they have suicidal thoughts, they should speak to someone and also to change peoples opinions on people who commit suicide. For example, Professor Green in this film talks about his dad's suicide and how he says things like he was stupid for doing but he also had sympathy because his dad obviously felt like it was his only option.

The purpose of this documentary was to discover what it is like to be part of a minority in peoples everyday lives and see what peoples reactions are to these people. For example there are times in the documentary when these people are beeped at as they are walking along a road and called names.

Much like the Professor Green documentary it is hard to understand the impact that the documentary has had but i can assume it has raised awareness for the struggles of the minorities that live in the UK and has made people sympathize with these people as they shouldn't have to live their lives getting beeped at and called names or even assaulted just because of their culture and the colour of their skin.

We then move to a talking space shot after an intertitle saying ‘Melissas story’. There are a few seconds of her talking and then her voice narrates the reconstruction that is shown next. The reconstruction displays a variety of shots. She tells us how her and a friend planned to get a taxi home and we see a cutaway which is a close up showing a phone ringing a taxi service.
Every time she talks about what happened there is a cutaway to the reconstruction. When shes talking about her feelings now, the talking space shot comes back. There is also a lack of music in the documentary which is effective and adds to the impact of the story

After failing to get a taxi, Melissa tells us how she and her friend decided she should drive them home. She then narrates the reconstruction of them driving home and tells us how they stuck to small roads and then about how they argued in the car. The actors in the reconstruction portray this arguing until we here Melissa's friend scream. At which point it cuts to black and there is just silence for a few seconds until it cuts to archive footage of a smashed up car.
