When she was happy, she did everything she could to continue being happy, but when she was unhappy she gave up. You can see in the play that she lacks perseverance. She started off content and obedient but by the end of the play she was unhappy and killed herself, even though her parents would've told her no if they knew. Falling for Romeo impacted her emotions greatly and led to ultimate consequence of her actions; death.
