Juliet is an obedient, well mannered, and beautiful girl. Her obedience leads her to meet Paris at the party even though she really didn't want to, but she did it just to make her mom happy. You can see her obedience and manners by the way she talks to her mom. Juliet talks to her very formally. One example of this is when she said "Madam, I am here. What is your will?" (1.2 7) It also shows when she says "I'll look to like of looking liking move. But no more deep will I endart mine eyes than your consent gives strength to make it fly." (1.3 99-101)

Although Juliet doesn't make her own decisions, having the party to meet Paris lead Juliet to meeting Romeo. Her meeting Romeo caused her to start acting rebellious and going against their historical family rivalry.

(2.5 46-47) It is also seen in the quote, "Come, come with me, and we will make short work. She's saying that you don't decide who you end up loving, it just happens. This relates to Juliet because she fell in love with Romeo, even though their families are enemies.

Juliet's emotions drove her decisions. When she was happy, she did everything she could to continue being happy, but when she was unhappy she gave up. You can see in the play that she lacks perseverance. She started off content and obedient but by the end of the play she was unhappy and killed herself, even though her parents would've told her no if they knew. Falling for Romeo impacted her emotions greatly and led to ultimate consequence of her actions; death. A lesson that we can learn from her is to not let your emotions get the best of you and tell your parents what's going on so they can advise you so you don't make stupid decisions.
