The La Llorona is a mexican myth were a Mexican woman married a man of higher class. The man abandoned the woman and the kids so in rage the woman drowned the kids and she met her own demise. She roams the streets in search of her kids.

the relationship was that a women from maya had the same things happening to her when she was a mother she was left from her husband and her kids were taken from her.

she is now to be a ghost appearing in the subers and on highways hunting people.

i think this legend is a good represention on women and there part in history

La Llorona was a wife and mother to two children her own husband left her to be with a weathly woman and then she drowned her own children and then meet her doom then was cursed by God to find her children in order to meet the gates of heaven.

In revenge, La Llorona drowns his children but when she realizes what she has done, she then haunts the surrounding water areas in search of the souls of her dead children

The origins of the legend are uncertain, but it has been presented as having pre-Hispanic roots.

A woman drowns her children in despair of her husband leaving her, and in the afterlife she is made to look for her kids to get into heaven

Women would go through the same thing and were highly respected.

They both were left by their husbands, mothers and their children were taken away. Most likely of the struggles of being a single mother.

La Llorana is a women who fell in love with a wealthier man and then he left her or threatened to take her children and in despair she drowned them and Gods punishment to her is to make her roam the streets and near water to find her children.

The relationship between prehispanic culture and the legend between la llorana is that many women from prehispanic culture went through the same thing that La Llorana went through.

Christianity was one of the influences and it became part of the story.

I think that this legend is a good way to scare children but I'm not sure whether I like what she did to her children regardless of why she did it.
