FIFA voted on the suspension 197 votes favoring it and 2 against it. Disagreements with the statutes of local authority and the world soccer president. If problems persist Guatemala could lose qualifications for the 2020 Olympic games. Guatemala will not be able to compete in the (CONCACAF) and will not be able to participate in the Champions cup. 
It all started October 18, 2015.  The FIFA emergency committee  made the decision to implement standardization committees  for the federation of Honduras and Guatemala, then of the arrests of managers dealing with the Fifagate scandal. 
The committee will consist of five  members that will be identified by fifa and concacaf in the near future. Their tasks will be to direct the daily functions of Guatemala and Honduras.
