Promote community activism among teachers;<br>4. Nurture student activism and develop student activists;<br>5.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Rethinking Schools is  "a small nonprofit organization directed by editors and editorial associates who volunteer their time, aided by a small staff".<br><br>It's an activist publication with articles written by and for teachers, parents and students. They try to balance practice and educational theory while also addressing key policy issues, funding equity, and school-to-work.<br><br>There are five to six magazines per year.  Magazines are $5.95 each or $4.95 for a pdf.</div>]]></description>
