Define:

The post war attitudes of the Major powers were affected by the results of the first world war and the Major powers did not want to start another war. The Major powers included Britain, France, USA, Italy and Italy

Example:

1)The French and British were war-weary and in a pacifist state of mind Britain alone suffered approximately 658700 dead, 2032150 wounded and 359150 missing military casualties.

2)The USA was unwilling to join the League and retreated back into isolationism with regard to issues outside of America.

Answer

France and Britain suffered greatly during the war and did not want to start another war and wanted to settle disputes peacefully without the use of force or violence.

USA believed that the problems in Europe did not affect them directly and devoted resources and efforts to their own nation and avoided involvement in foreign affairs by isolating themselves.

The major powers viewed their own concerns and interests as more important than the League's goal of world peace and security.
