I think we need to be principled and act with integrity and honesty because of the academic honesty that it is expected by the IB. There has to be fairness between teachers and students, in terms of the workload, deadlines, extensions, etc.

I think we have to be risk takers as EE coordinators in allowing the students to try out topics or experiments that we might not feel confident about supervising. For example a student may want to do a interdisciplinary topic and we might only know about one half of the disciplines.

We use critical and creative thinking skills in planning the course schedule to complement, rather than disrupt, IB subject courses. We analyse and take

responsible action on complex problems such as dealing with student's (or supervisors) missing deadlines, to support their progress to successful completion. We exercise initiative in

How to introduce Extended Essay to the teachers who are going to be the supervisors and students who need to write them in a clear and suitable way.

Even though we provide the EE handbook to everyone, it's hard to ask all of them to read it, especially less and less people would try to read paper works.

EE Coordinators, need to dedicate time to study the IB manuals, make notes etc as we are the point of reference for supervisors, students and the DPC and parents. We need to keep up to date with changes and ensure to keep completing CPD workshops

Be timely in our communication with supervisors, such as sending them a list of questions to ask the week before they will meet for first reflection sessions. We can walk supervisors through the process step by step, rather than give them all the information at once. Same for students!
