2. In this image, the Third Estate is on the bottom with the Clergy and Nobility sitting on top of it. The Third Estate is made up of Merchants, etc, and the farming tool in his hand is like a symbol of how the third estate does not have much power over the other estates. Also, the third estate is represented as wearing torn up clothes and having to do labor (carrying other two estates). In a way it represents how the Third Estate (the majority of people) had to do whatever the higher power wants and they almost have to carry the society in a way.

The cartoon shows how they are all on each other's backs and the 3rd estate is taking all the weight of the other higher estates. Their clothing shows what the classes would wear, and the 3rd estate is older and looks weal, which proves the point of how much power each of the estates depict. Each class seems to carry the weight of the other higher classes and it is affecting the entire economy and it's not as strong as it could be. The economy depended on the money and taxes of the 3rd estate.

2. The cartoon shows that the third estate is clearly treated as the minority in comparison to the nobility and clergy. I think the animals might show that even the creatures eat while the peasant carries the higher two estates.

The one on the bottom represents the third estate, because he is supporting the 1st and the 2nd.

2. This Cartoon represents how the estates were in society during that time. The 3rd estate is clearly the one on the bottom, who is hunched over supporting the two men on top. I also noticed that the two men on top have nicer clothing, which relates to real life because the 1st and 2nd estate were more privledged.

1. In this cartoon, then Estates are shown. One man is hunched over holding two men. I think this shows that the 3rd estate man is holding the 1st and 2nd estates because they are higher above him and kinda putting weight on him like overpowering. I think the person who made the cartoon purposely dressed these men in a way to fit where they state on a social status. The 1st and 2nd estate men are in nice clothes with swords.

2. In the picture the man hunching over and carrying the two men on his back represents the Third Estate. Before the French Revolution, the Third Estate was treated less than the Clergy and Nobilities, and in the picture the peasant (Third Estate) is giving the two fancy dressed men (Clergy and Nobilities) a ride. The two men on the the mans back are a lot better dressed because they are wealthy unlike the man giving the ride.

2. It shows how the 3rd Estate was carrying both estates higher and also doing more work than them combined. The 2nd and 1st estate have nicer clothing, more privileges and treated better. It shows how the two people on the peasant's back aren't in the same estate, yet get along fine. They are both smiling and don't seem to have a problem. Although they both share a common enemy with the 3rd estate and treat him horribly. Lastly, the position of the peasant indicates that he is almost as equal as an animal.

2. I think that this picture displays three people on each other's backs representing the three estates. They are shown wearing different clothing to portray that some estates are higher than the others. It shows the third estate carrying a lot of weight, meaning it does more work than the first and second. The first and second also look better than the third because they have on nicer clothes and seem cleaner than the third.

2. This cartoon shows problems because there are people sitting on a mans back while he uses a farming tool as a cane. This shows that one class is extremely poor and the other two classes are privileged. The people on the peasants back are wearing nice clothes. The rabbits on the bottom of the picture are symbolizing that the peasnt is doing lots of work and the rabbits are eating his food and it shows that he is equal to the animals.

This cartoon summarizes what was happening before the French Revolution because of how the 3rd estates are represented through the people. You can see that one man, the 3rd estate is hunched over having to hold all the weight. On top of him are the clergy and the nobles. It is portraying that the 3rd estate are the back bone of the society. Underneath them are animals whom are eating and they aren't doing anything yet they are still being fed and the peasant ins't.

2. I think this cartoon reflects on France's economy at the time. You can see the difference of each estate by their clothing. For example, the man carrying the others on his back's clothes represent the third estate because he is wearing dull and dreary clothes compared to the other men. It symbolizes how he is lesser and doesn't have the means to have clothes like the other two men. The other's clothes are lavish and full of color. You can also see how each estate is treated. For example, the men from the 1st and 2nd estate have huge smiles on their faces, while the man from the 3rd estate looks sad and discourage. He is also carrying a farming tool which symoblizes the work he has to do. They carry the society.

The third estate is holding a farming tool, which seems to be old because it hasn't been used in awhile due to the farming decline. it also shows how the second and first are being carried by the third estate. the animals are also well fed and living a better life than the peasants. it also shows the animals at the same level as the people.

2) in this cartoon the man hunched over symbolizes the third estate. The other two people are symbolizing the nobles and clergy. This cartoon shows how the clergy and nobles have power over the third estate. Even the clothing on the noble and clergy are nicer than the third estate. The third estate is working on a farm with a tool looking tired while the clergy and nobles are sitting back and watching, symbolizing they make them work so much, having so much power over them.
