The stampeders had to go through many tough conditions in order to get to Klondike. They had trouble going passed mountains because there were various routes which differed according to time and the danger. For an example Dalton route was long but it was less dangerous compared to Chilkoot Pass Route which was very dangerous and steep. The stampeders also had a hard time carrying their belongings to the top.

The next step was to go through the Alaska route which was very expensive. Some even wanted to go by " all Canadian" route but these routes were slower which could take up to two years

Dawson City had rich stocks of salmon which the First Nations used. The First Nations caught the fish and then dried them where the Yukon and Klondike Rivers met. Later when the gold rush began in 1896 this land had a total of 16000 people altogether.
