My entire family lives in the United States, but most of them live in Florida, and most of that family lives in Lakeland. There is my Aunty Ann, and my Uncle Richard, plus their two adorable children, Bri and Anny. There’s also my other Aunt Tra, who is single. And there is my Papa and Mema.

I moved from Florida at the end of my last school year, and used up half of my summer to get to Texas and unpack all of our stuff. So far, things have gone smoothly and I have enjoyed my experience at Cedar Valley. And luckily, I was able to see everyone during Christmas in Missouri. We had a great reunion, and an even greater time with all the new presents everyone got. But even though it was sad to leave them again, I know we’ll see them next year.

She attended school at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). She also worked for American Airlines as a reservationist and she was married.

Mrs. Zuniga has three kids now and taught for several years. She was selected Teacher of the Year in the Pflugerville ISD. She really likes kids and wants to help them find their way during the middle school years.

The biggest change in the last 20 years are technology. It far surpasses anything other change in the school environment.

“The actual computer and monitor were connected in a huge box,” Zuniga said. “The monitor was protected by a glass screen, which made it harder to see. The Internet was just beginning.”

There is so much more on the Internet today than 20 years ago.

She said, “One of the only ways to find information from books. It was  more difficult to find information and time consuming.”
What a novel idea.
