Our class looked at the use of rivers in our local area. We found which rivers run past Farnworth and Moses Gate - The River Croal and the River Irwell.

We reviewed our previous learning from the Ancient Egyptians and the Industrial Revolution and looked at what rivers were used for then and compared that to what rivers may be used for today.

We talked about some reasons why Anglo Saxons invaded Britain and ordered some Anglo Saxon events on a timeline.

We played one of our favourite quizzing games, where we walk around the classroom asking other people quiz questions, based on our learning from previous learning. The rules are:

*You can only ask someone if they are with nobody else.

*You ask a question of your choice and see if they can answer it.

*If they answer and you don't think/know it isn't correct, you don't have to write their idea down.

*You can only ask someone one question.

We looked at different sources including WWII posters, a government evacuation plan, a letter home from a child and a photograph of an evacuee child.
