Everyone knows that the entire world revolves around the sun. For me, as the teacher, my classroom is the sun. It's my job to be flexible and give my students the best education possible because they're the reason I'm doing this (definitely not in this for the money). This connects to the Leaner ISTE standard because it's all about me evaluating my own performance and learning how I can improve as a teacher. I will be a different teacher for each of my classrooms; as each group will need something different from me in order to reach their full potential.

The moon is more something you have to seek out to enjoy its beauty. This connects to the Leader ISTE standard as it's all about educators seeking out opportunities to help their students succeed. In my classroom, I want to promote technology that's going to help them not only learn the content, but understand it on a deeper level. For instance, in our class, the modules that we had to do were designed specifically to help us understand each topic with the help of technology and it was a very beneficial tool.

It's hard to look up at the stars and not feel inspired by them. I want to inspire my students to feel passionate about learning and gaining knowledge, because it can be discouraging sometimes. I want my classroom to be student-centered, which interactive activities and assignments that utilize their imagination. This connects to the Citizen ISTE because it's all about creating inspiration anchored in technology. This website, Padlet, for example, is a great digital tool that students can be very creative with. There are hundreds of online tools and websites that promote curiosity and creativity that any teacher can use in their classroom.

Earth is our home, and what it looks like is very important for the general success of people. This can be compared to the physical classroom and the environment I want to create. I want to design my classroom as a safe space for every single student- I want them to be walking to my class and think, "Finally." Not only do I want to make the physical aspect comfortable (I was thinking a class pet), I want it be to an emotional safe space. I want to foster an environment where kids feel they can be themselves and share their genuine thoughts and ideas without the fear of judgement.

The ocean can be a wild place without structure. Something we did in class that I enjoyed was the proficiency-based learning. I think that this method takes a lot of pressure of off students who are simply worried only about getting the best grade possible. I think it makes it a lot easier for students to genuinely learn the material and comprehend it. It makes them more confident, not only as students, but also as people in general.
