1. Trade-offs. Having to come up with a decision that ensures equal balance between profit and balance is not easy. There will be sacrifices made.
2. Racism is unexpectedly quite common in the society. Many people unintentionally make racist points and unfortunately believe in stereotypes.

1. I have learnt and understood that sustainability is applied not only in an environmental setting but also in policies and politics.
2. I realised how common casual racism is. I always thought it was not as common and doesn't happen to everyone. However, the lesson on race made me realise the situation more.
3. I learnt the difference between misinformation and disinformation. I also took away how important and dire it is to spread false information ignorantly as it is hard to overcome it and make sure the right information is given to the public.

This module has taught me how to view things from different perspectives without holding bias opinions, taking into consideration the views of others, potential stakeholders, and differentiated circumstances. Thus, promoting critical thinking and deep analysis when discussing and voicing out opinions.

This module created a safe space for students to discuss controversial topics and share their opinions. Many important topics such as the LGBTQ+ community, Asian hate, and the Black Lives Movement were talked about, and a good amount of thinking and discussion was put into the group activities.

Additionally, the lesson focused on misinformation in the age of generative A. I. helped me understand that everything on the internet must be taken with a pinch of salt as there is a lot of fake news going about. This fake news may be harmful and purposefully provoke different groups of people. This, in turn, may cause havoc in the community and potentially, pandemonium.

1. One of my main key takeaways is knowing that it is okay to engage in discussions that focus on sensitive topics. (E.g. LGBTQ or Racism) I have also gained the skill of being sensitive and taking note of other people's perspectives while engaging in such conversations.

2. Another takeaway that I have is seeing Singapore from the government's perspective. From the 'save the site' activity, I was able to view how it isn't as easy as it looks to conserve space in Singapore. When you wish to build a facility or an amenity for your citizens, you have to take away something else, thus the term 'trade-off'. Prior to this, I used to think that old traditional buildings or buildings that are not used by as many people could be easily taken down. However, I now see that it is not as easy as it seems due to factors such as tourism.

3. Last but not least, I broadened my knowledge of how covid-19 has affected the world. Even though I was aware of how covid-19 affected me as an individual, I was not as informed on the ways it affected the countries and citizens as a whole. In this module, I learned that covid-19 impacted the world on a major scale. For example, it affects the 17 sustainable development goals, how citizens view their government, and the stereotypes that citizens hold against the government.

1. Race is a sensitive topic, and we should learn to respect views and beliefs that are different from us. However, racism still can be clearly seen in our society due to ignorance and lack of education on the different races.
2. With the help of 5 core principles of Singapore's foreign policy, I feel that Singapore is doing a good job as a sovereign state.

This module have broaden my knowledge about the current events ongoing in the world and the different types of policies, both in and outside of Singapore. A lesson I found really interesting was the lesson about the ongoing Russia-Ukraine War. (1)I was made more aware of the different and big-scale impacts that a war can have on the rest of the world. (2)Through the four assignments in this module, I have also come across and learned about many different Singapore policies and policies from all around the world. I understand more in-depth about the different policies and how it can help and cater to the public with all the different needs that everyone has.

This awareness is vital for me as is helps me to be more cautious about the events going on in the world.

The second takeaway I had was to be more sensitive on certain topic and issues. We are doing decent in citizens to achieve affordable and clean energy and good health and well-being. However, there are still areas of improvements such as zero hunger and no poverty. It makes me more aware of the situation and how I can do my part.
2. Everyone should view others as an unique and separate entity from their impressions or biases like nationality and race. Ultimately, it is a person's words and actions that defines them.

1) One of the main takeaway for me was that there were many different ways for you to show negativety towards people. Be it prejudice , Ableist and many more. Racism is also a very sensative topic in singapore, and one thing said by a person can also hurt another person. Even if it seems to be like a joke to one person, people still need to be very careful and be empathethic enough to not say stupid things
2) Another key takeaway is research techniques. I found it intresting to research about the different policies in other countries, as I found out that the policies are geared towards their own country people , however some of the policies are quite similar as everyone face similar issues.
3) The last takeaway is the impact of big global issues in Singapore.
