Fears: Academic writing, I'm much more of a practical person.

Expectations: Improve knowledge across the pillars and how my future role can develop.

Hopes - To deepen my knowledge of the role of the ACP and its place within the current health care system, which in turn will allow for greater clarity in my own role and cement to myself why this role is the right career direction for my specialty. To become a more rounded practitioner across the 4 pillars to underpin my day to day practice.

Fears - This will be my first written work at level 7 which I recognise will be a significant challenge.

Expectations: To be provided with the academic support to understand the topics covered.

My personal expectation for the end of this module is to have deeper underpinning knowledge of the ACP to be able to better articulate this to other profession's who do not understand the role and its place within the system.

Hopes - To increase my knowledge and understanding about how the 4 pillars differ an in ACP role in comparison to my current role. To also collaboratively work with other professionals to understand how my ACP role will both look similar and differently to that of others

Fears - First unit back with my cohort so re-meeting people and building those relationships. This will also be my first written assignment since my Bsc

Expectations; to have the appropriate support and guidance from the university, with any feedback given constructively. I have a personal expectation that I will fall into a new routine of learning and dedication in a timely and efficient manner

Fears: time and incorporating academic commitments into day to day life. Fearful of being stuck in the mud. Remembering how to critically appraise evidence

Expectations: Greater understanding of being advanced practitioner and the supporting literature. Models to reflect and how to use these reflections to make a positive impact.

To develop skills in reflection and academic writing that will help me though this module but also future modules throughout the course.

To work collaboratively with ACP's from other professions understanding how we differ and overlap, allowing me to see development opportunities within my own clinical setting.

Improved knowledge and understanding of the 4 pillars and how I can use that knowledge to develop my role going forward.

To develop academic writing skills at L7 and improve on reflective writing at this level. I hope to gain further knowledge about how to implement research and academic writing into my current practice so that I embed all 4 pillars of advanced practice into my practice. I hope to become more proficient with using referencing software like EndNote and CiteWhileYouWrite.

Fears:

Being vulnerable and putting thoughts and reflections onto paper. I usually self reflect by thinking, reading and usually talking in supervisions or to colleagues but do not usually reflect in writing. I worry that my writing style is not at the appropriate level and am aware this will be a challenge that I need to work on.

Expectations:

Honest and constructive feedback and support from my peers and tutors to develop. Guidance in terms of reflective models and strategies. I expect I will need to be organised and allocate time for writing and reflections in my day to day practice so it becomes a habit.

Fears: Having adequate time to do wider reading and complete assignment at level 7 whilst balancing life and other work commitments.

Expectations: Quality structured teaching incorporating focused peer discussions to enhance learning and breath of understanding. Clear outline of the portfolio requirements with opportunity for feedback. Will need to be very organised and open-minded.

Exploring and understanding the role of an ACP outside of the clinical pillar. Understanding ways of maintaining autonomy within an extension of my scope of practice. How to maintain and reflect on this at an appropriate level.

Hopes: Continued development of myself as a advanced clinical practitioner. To improve confidence in academic writing at level 7. To continue to work with the different professions within my cohort that have supported me through my first module. Respecting other roles and responsibilities. Good time management and essay planning.

Fears: Being the only OT, 'lone ranger'. Planning and writing an assignment at level 7 standards. Juggling work, uni and home life, getting the balance right.

Expectations: Support and guidance from my supervisors. Structured approach to my own organisation and time management on my behalf. Greater depth of the 4 pillars and how I can relate them to my role.
