The Farmers greatly affect the populations and the communities and it was hard to feed people and bring money in:
Farmers weren't able to plant much because half of their land was filled with plants that wont grow.
Despite this, farmers were still being taxed when they had no money.

Peasants owed as much as one morsel of land, a cow, and a horse, yet multiple nobles would demand for franchers (or 42 pounds) of wheat, oat, mulitple chickens, and currency.
