Meaning: There are four seasons of the year. Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring. New Zealand has different ones from the other countries. For example, New Zealand is located in the Southern Hemisphere and United States is located in the Northern Hemisphere. This is why Summer in New Zealand starts in December up to February and United States starts in June and ends in September.

Summer: Summer is a brilliant season to do your favourite activities and basically gives you free vitamin D. Moreover, summer is a time where the sun is higher in the sky, visible for longer resulting in longer days and warmer temperatures.

Autumn/Fall: Autumn is a season where all the leaves fall hence the name other name "fall". Furthermore, Autumn gives us less direct sunlight causing shorter days and longer nights.

Winter: Normally, Winter is a time where snowflakes fall but in some countries and states it doesn't. You can tell it snows rarely because the last time it extraordinarily snowed in Auckland was August 15 and 16 2011, and June 1976.

Spring: Spring is generally considered to be the best season for plants to blossom. It brings warmer weather and longer days.
