Jack London made the book “The Fang” to portray the life of a young wolf that finds a man with whom he forms a relationship with. The wolf in “The Fang” shows faithfulness to his master. This represents the American Dream because the dog shows loyalty to a community and a dedication to improving one’s conditions. The wolf understands that in order to have a better life for himself, he is going to have to cooperate with the man.

“The Call of the Wild” is a book about a dog named Buck who gets captured by a group of hunters, but uses a pack of wolves to get revenge on his captors. Buck devotes his life to his master and leads a successful life. Jack London uses this as a reference to display how Buck is the epitome of the American Dream through the eyes of a dog. This is because he gets to achieve a happy and peaceful life to live with his master.

Jack London's Missing Revolution: Notes on "The Iron Heel" (La révolution manquante, notes sur "Le Talon de fer" de Jack London)

Jack London made the book “The Iron Heel” as a kind of preview of his idea of Scientific Socialism. The book is key in discovering what exactly Jack London thought about the future. Jack London, in his book “The Iron Heel” made sure to include many references to what he wanted in a socialist society. This means that he was against the hyper-conservative nature of the government of the time. This hyper-conservative government restricted the rights of the worker to control (or organize in) the factories. The futures of the workers were completely out of reach if they lacked this power. Jack London wanted the reader to understand that he wanted a better life for himself and his family.

The Composition of Martin Eden

There are many different interpretations of Jack London’s work “Martin Eden”, but the one interpretation that sticks out the most is the interpretation that the character perseveres against all odds. Martin Eden, the main character in the story, strives against all odds to become a writer, seemingly achieving his dream in the end. This is because he is allowed to complete his own life’s journey in his own time.
