While the academic success of the students who know their environment increases, their personal development gains momentum in a positive way. Conversely, students who are not aware of their surroundings and nature will not be successful in later life, will not be able to generate new ideas and will find it difficult to find solutions to the problems they face. In order to prevent these problems, schools should revise their lesson plans according to nature in order to prepare students for life, to introduce them to the environment they live in, and to offer the opportunity to learn by doing and

experiencing.

For this purpose, an analytical study was carried out in our school and as a result of the analytical study, it was seen that the teachers in our school did not organize outdoor education classes. Very few teachers who organize outdoor education in our school state that they do not have any educational goals and plans, and that their lessons are held in a picnic environment in nature.

To address the issues highlighted in this project, we intend to collaborate with schools in EU nations confronting similar predicaments. Our aim is to augment the abilities of our school's educators to conduct outdoor educational programs.

Consequently, our teachers will acquire proficiencies and expertise in outdoor education via global partnerships. The project also aims to achieve the following sub-objectives:

* Teachers' competence in outdoor education will be improved.

* Thanks to the environmental education in the project, the environmental literacy of teachers and students will increase.

* Teachers will learn the stages of outdoor education practically.

* Teachers will learn the stages of nature education practically.

* Outdoor education will be researched and learned at a local and international level.

* School culture will be created for outdoor education.

* Nature-sensitive knowledge will be developed in our school.

* Outdoor activities will be increased in our school and students' academic and social skills will be improved.

* Differences between different cultures will be explored.

* The sensitivity of students and teachers to the environment will increase.

* Cultural activities will be ensured.

When we examine the relationship between our project and our priorities in the Erasmus Program;

*In our project; Recognizing and eliminating the deficiencies of our teachers in outdoor education activities is related to the priority of "Supporting teachers, school administrators and other teaching professions".

*The development of teachers' knowledge capacities on nature education, the promotion and teaching of environmental literacy among students and teachers are related to the priority of "Combating the environment and climate change".

*The inclusion of the school established for students and teachers escaping from the war in the project is related to the priority of "supporting Ukraine against the war".

The Erasmus project "Outdoor Learning-from Local to Global" recently took a vibrant leap forward with an exciting mobility program to Sofia, Bulgaria. This initiative brought together educators from diverse European backgrounds to explore innovative teaching methods rooted in outdoor environments. During the mobility, participants engaged in a variety of activities including workshops, field trips, and collaborative projects, all designed to harness the educational potential of nature. This experience not only enriched their understanding of outdoor learning but also fostered intercultural exchange and strengthened the bonds within the Erasmus community. The picturesque landscapes and cultural heritage of Sofia provided an inspiring backdrop, making the mobility a memorable and transformative journey for all involved.
