Instead I just have a couple bad stories and equally strange pictures to account for those years. I grew up living in Scarborough, I was a shy kid, anti-social really. I never really felt like I belonged in my classes. I was always terrified of looking 'stupid' so I never would participate because I was scared people would find something about me to make fun of. I remember I always loved learning new things- I just never felt other people could learn from me. If only someone told me what it would REALLY be like......weekly stress cries, thousands of dollars in debt, figuring out that the 'Hamburger Style' of writing an essay is subpar for university expectations.....*Cue "Cry Me a River"* I mean on a positive note, first year allowed me to meet so many wonderful people I  now get to call my friends. I not only reside in Scarborough, but York has become a community for me as well. Also, after crying a couple dozen times, I realized I can actually write an essay and I am capable and worthy of being here.

Such an amazing experience at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital. I was so nervous to start this placement but fell head over heels in love with the children from the first day I went. The children taught me more than I could ever have imagined.
