Melville's text contributed to my understanding of the concept of progress because of how the narrator and Bartleby work out their situation that occurred during the text. Bartleby denies a request from the narrator and it causes a little commotion. The narrator later finds out what was wrong with Bartleby and try to help him. The effort the narrator puts in the get Bartleby to talk about his situation. He put in the different steps in progress in order to get Bartleby to open up.

Progress takes dedication, strength, ups and down, hard work, and patience. This ideas compared to my previous ideas are somewhat similar. I still understand how to relate a concept to an image that represents it or how different mage can have more than one concept. The difference from my current concept and my previous concept is how I've developed my ides more and how I've connected the concept to different pieces of text.
