Education is an impure good and this is because public good must not diminish the quality of the goods for others and it is impossible or next to impossible to exclude people from using the good.

In this case government should not be in education because due to their involvement schools are competing with one another to get the funding they need to run the school. In addition, the less privileged areas are not able to receive the resources that they need in order to push student to go further in life so in which case they are creating a cycle of poverty.

Education is an impure public good because, while it is provided to the public, it is rival in consumption because there are only a certain amount available seats in a class size, so by one child being in that seat another one cannot have it. However, education is non-excludable because public school are offered to every child.

The government should be involved in education because if the funding was left to the private sector then some schools would have less funding due to income levels which do not match the preferences of education. The government can help this imbalance by funding those areas with lower funds so that children are receiving equal education benefits.

Education is an impure public good. This is because it has some characteristics of a public good, but is not non-rivalrous or non-excludable. It is rival because schools providing education have scarce resources in terms of class sizes and overall resources such as funding.

Education is an impure public good. This basically states that the public receives the overall benefit from people going to college, thus the cost of education shouldn't be one that is easily transferable to students. It is non-rivalrous in consumption as any additional consuming the benefit of public education does not diminish the benefit for others. However, higher education is not a public good as it's realistic to exclude people who do not pay; but, society does benefit when more people go to college as people with a college background are known for their direct contribution in societal roles
