I would like to know a good strategy to students who are advanced in code but need to take a step back for the unplugged portion of the lesson. I do see myself and my team discussing computer times with our principal and technology coordinator. I feel with the knowledge we've gain from this workshop they will give us the time slots we need and maybe adding this program to our after school clubs. This program can be used daily during after school and weekly during our set computer times.

This was a great session. At this time I do not have any questions about the information presented today. I am excited to take this back to the classroom. If I run into any concerns, I know that I can reach out to a Digital Learning Specialist or our presenter. I can talk to them through a variety of media. I currently teach ELA and Writing. I could build my unplugged activities into my lessons (at least once a month) to build some background knowledge using CODE vocabulary. During my intervention time, students can practice what they were exposed to during the ELA/Writing Lessons. I hope to find a variety of opportunities to build this higher level thinking into my class.

Where can I get chrome books for my students?
How can I integrate my content area with coding?
I would work with the campus digital learning specialist to help me start coding in my classroom. CS Fundamentals can be used as an enrichment activity or incorporated as stations during a lesson. To make this course possible, I need to set up course sections and determine the best times to implement coding.

I have really enjoyed this session because everything covered was completely new to me. I will definitely share this with my administration to spread CS in our school. I look forward to attending other coding sessions with my colleagues. Throughout the school year, I can start implementing coding during computer lab time, science and math blocks.

By using my Curriculum Guide and Unplugged Lesson Plans.
I will have to reserve time in the Computer Lab with an Administrator during my conference time.
Plan to implement the activities maybe during extra curricular activity time.
