         <description><![CDATA[<div>Stop-Action Roleplay (20 minutes) based on <em>State v Thierry.<br><br>A.</em> Select four students to participate in the skit and distribute the appropriate roles to each student (roles attached below).</div><div>1.     Two students will play the roles of police officers while the other two will play the defendants/arrestees.</div><div>2.     Explain to the actors that their job is to explicitly convey each action or additional fact one at a time. The goal is to act things out enough that the teacher does not have to add additional narration.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The trivia game includes questions regarding introductory legal elements (difference in federal and state court), legal terms, and some legal pop culture.  There are slides throughout that explain the answers to certain questions to give the students more background on introductory legal elements to give them a better understanding of the general legal system.  Slides need to be updated every year for the legal pop culture questions.</div><div><br></div><div>Structure of Activity</div><div>-       Split the room into teams of no more than four people </div><div>-       Complete a series of trivia questions on the legal system</div><div>-       Keep score of which teams get the correct answers.</div><div>-       If a team yells out an answer or gives an answer to another team they lose a point</div>]]></description>
