1.) Filter out any solids you can using a funnel, doing this will help get the easy chunks of metal out so you don't have to manually go in with tweasers.

2.) Run a magnet over the beaker, doing this will seperate the nonsoluble magnetic solids from the nonsoluble not magnetic metal

3.) Find the density of the non magnetic and magnetic metals seperately. We will do this to elimanate some of the possible options that have a lot in common except density

4.) Put a small droplet of acid on the metal to see if it will bubble or react. Doing this will show if there is something in the combinatin of the metal that will react then will elimate some.

Test all the liquids with a to see evaporation dish to see if there is powders and impurities to get out.
4.) If there is powder, distill it normally
-You now have pure liquids
5.) Get the density of the different liquids
6.) Test the boiling points of all the liquids
7. Do a smelly test of them all
8.) Test their flammability
9. Test solubility of sugar

1.) Filter the substance. The powder that isn't soluble would be left behind in the substance.

2.) Put the powder in water then after water test do in alcohol and if non soluble use a filter to get out the powder. Doing this will test if the powder is soluble and if not you can get the powder out of the liquids.

3.) Find the solubility for grams per 100 mL of water. You test this to see if it is possible to eliminate some options
4.) You can then melt it down to find another intrinsic property.
5.) If you take a small amount of the powder, and try to light it, you can test the flammability. If it lights easy, it is flammable.
6.) Finally, take a small amount of the powder, and take a small amount of the acid, and drop it on the powder.
