In 2010, she became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Corey Crigler has held leadership positions within the Shenandoah Valley Dental Association, the Virginia Dental Association, and the Virginia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

An honors graduate of the University of Tennessee, Dr. Crigler earned a bachelor of science in biology, followed by a doctor of medicine in dentistry from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she studied topics including radiology, implant surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, pathology, and anesthesia. She has served as adjunct faculty for VCU and for the University of Virginia graduate dental program
