Fungi is more of a decomposer than producer, as they lack the chlorophyll needed to perform enough photosynthesis. Fungi get their energy mostly from breaking down dead material and getting their nutrients from them.

We humans have learned to take preventive measures in order to reduce our risk of getting this new strand of Covid and basically prevent ourselves from getting infected ourselves. Ants also have this thing where like us, basically wash their hands and maintain hygiene in order to prevent getting infected. This is very similar to what Sars-CoV2 does when it attacks one's immune system it then can spread through water droplets of one's nose or mouth to another victim.
